well to add a friend you click onto the selected person's userpage and in the left hand side where it says Options you go down to befriend and underneath it, it says add to friendlist. just click that

to make a thread go onto the forums and choose which group topic you want eg. Chat Lounge. you then enter into that where it shows all the threads by other people, on the left hand side it says options underneath it says New Thread. click on that and there you have it
